Let's walk through a simple example of how to group two windows together using WindowTabs.
Here we have two windows running on Windows 7, a Microsoft Word document and an Explorer window.
We start WindowTabs (by running "WindowTabs.exe") and now we see a tab on each window.
When we click and drag a tab, the window shrinks to a thumbnail which we can drag around the desktop.
By draging the thumbnail of the window into another tab, we group the windows together.
We can use Aero Peek to view thumbnails and switch between windows in the group.
WindowTabs Features
Most features are available through the tab context menu, right click on a tab to see the menu.

Rename tab Rename the tab and use the new text instead of the window text. You can also double click a tab to rename it.
Select rename or double click to edit the tab name
Type in the new text for the tab
When a tab is edited, the text is displayed in italics
Restore tab name Undo the tab renaming and display the window caption text in the tab.
Minimize windows
Minimize all the windows in the group. The windows stay grouped together and can be restored from the taskbar like normal.
Filter 'process'
Filter the process for the tab, in this example it is a Chrome.exe window. Filtering a process means that the process will not have a tab added to it.
Filter...
Opens the filter list, you can manually enter new processes to filter or delete items from the list by selecting an item and pressing the 'Delete' key.
Version... Display the WindowTabs version, this is a timestamp of when this version of WindowTabs.exe was created.
Close WindowTabs Shuts down the WindowTabs.exe process and saves any settings which have changed.
